Eternal Love ordered a mixer from Varia Instruments. For the handover, Fede came all the way up from Milano to Bern to pick up the baby in person and spend some quality time together. This might be the biggest upgrade in our workshop since we started building mixers almost 10 years ago: we bought our very own wave soldering machine! For the past decade, the machine was located across the street and we were able to use it there. Unfortunately, all of a sudden the company went bankrupt. After half a year of struggle, negotiations, and sleepless nights, we were finally able to buy the machine ourselves. Read the full story via the link in bio. Last week was our annual retreat, which brought us to Grindelwald – a beautiful village in the Swiss Alps, right in front of the stunning mountains. Three days of fresh air, snow and long hikes. But it wasn’t just about fun: we had intense discussions about our company, projects and dreams – as well as the fears and challenges of everyday business. Of course, some proper nerding couldn’t be missed. We visited Fritz Gyger AG – the ultimate company when it comes to high-end cartridge diamond tips. They even developed their own diamond cut, now used in the most exclusive @ortofon_official MC cartridges. Absolutely stunning. We also did some in-depth product testing of @teenageengineering gear and visited the @semusiclab for a listening session. Thanks goes out to @studiosoundsag for supplying us with gear! @oqorecords is the project of two passionate guys who approached us early last year. They ordered an RDM40 mixer for an imaginary venue that was supposed to open its doors a year later. You could really feel their energy right away, and it quickly became clear that this project was driven by passion — not business plans or investors. Well, here we are one year later: our co-founder @simon.j.frank was invited to play the opening set of the very first event. And what can we say?! The venue, located in a small town in the Swiss Alps, has everything you could ask for. The custom @h.a.n.d.hifi sound system sounds delicious, the booth is a dream (!), and the crowd is open-minded and genuinely happy to have such a club in their area.
